Washoe County Roads Teams provide snow and ice control, right-of-way maintenance including street sign repair/replacement, and drainage system maintenance in unincorporated Washoe County.

Snow and Ice  - Unincorporated Washoe County:  Keeping our streets clear during winter months is a shared effort between Washoe County community members, regional partners and the Roads team. Visit Snow and Ice for more information on efforts to keep streets and pathways clear.

Right-of-Way Maintenance - Unincorporated Washoe County:  The Roads team is responsible for road maintenance within a public right-of-way. This ranges between road sign replacement and repair, to weed abatement and ditch maintenance to support water conveyance. Your help in reporting concerns is appreciated. Public concerns are captured in a work-order when each call is received and that work-order is tracked through completion.

Drainage System Maintenance - Public Roads in Unincorporated Washoe County: Road crews inspect and maintain both the open ditch drainage system and the enclosed storm drainage collection systems along the 1,040 miles of County roadways. This maintenance typically involves ditch cleaning or reconstruction, pipe repair and replacement, sedimentation removal, blockage removal and inlet repair. Occasionally maintenance and water removal/pumping is required due to minor roadway flooding. Your support is critical for maintaining our regional drainage system.
